For the past few weeks, I have been blabbing about the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2011. Last October 29, 2011, the event commenced. It was my pleasure to be one of the people who hosted the event with the help of few sponsors.
The MBS5 started with a talk about blogging and environmental stuffs at Celadon Pension Haus. The speakers were all so fabulous and witty. Here’s a few captures of me on the event.

My most waited talk by Ms. Anna Oposa. She is sooooo cool and approachable and friendly and honest. Well, that’s what I perceive her personality.

After the program, Calda Pizza sponsored us with two 40-inch pizzas. Ah! It tasted like heaven.
The first day was sooooo great. I’ve learned a lot that day. I am so happy that I am one of the members of the Iligan Bloggers Society. I’d be happy to meet fellow bloggers (my age) next time when an event like this happens.

As you all know, Mindanao Bloggers Summit will commence tomorrow, October 29, 2011. I am so excited. In line with the event, I’ve actually set eyes on a Darangen Doll. What it is? Read the photo below:
Basically, it is a typical doll dressed in a Maranao tribal costume. I think we have dolls like these in Tawi-Tawi too. The difference is that those in Tawi-Tawi are dressed in Batawi.
Below is a doll from the 50th Anniversary of Mindanao State University. What makes it special? Everything is sewn to the cloth. I mean, the beads and all the stuffs. The others are just glued down.

Everything about this doll is just so fabulous.

And below is my favourite doll. I was amazed how I loved the one not in pink. Yay! Well, I loved this doll because it is the only one wherein the upper color which is white is contrasted with navy blue.
I know. The dolls are super cute. They cost around Php1,500 each. I wish someone would give something like this to me. I’d be really really happy.

Music is the light of the soul as the saying goes. Everyone loves music. And what a way to enjoy it more than have it on your iPod or laptop? Whatever our mood be, there is an equivalent song lyric to that. This is why we love listening to music. It soothes the soul and gives us company whenever we don’t have one. We learn from the lyrics and we relate to the melody. Sometimes, songs can make us realize our mistakes. They can also tell us our worth to the world.
We love listening to music. But how do we get music? Music is created by some diligent and talented people with great effort and love. That is why we should always reciprocate their efforts. Getting the album of your choice has been easier nowadays than it was back in the days. You do not have to visit record stores to actually get a cassette tape or a compact disc of your favorite singer. All you need to do now is just go to a website that offers this service and buy music there.
Whatever genre of you love, several sites have it for you. From alternative music to top music charts to pop music, sites like MP3MIXX offer them all. Every now and then, music changes. You can be updated everyday with over 3,000,000 tracks from 250,000 albums and 50,000 artists available worldwide.
What is nice about buying from online stores is that the music is in its digital form already and ready to drag into your mp3 player or iPod and even your phones. We have to appreciate the effort of people behind the music by buying their albums. For a cheap price, we will be able to help them.
Within this age of the internet, you get anything online, May it be for personal use to commercial one. So, how do you buy online? It’s super simple.
- All you need is a credit or debit card, then you are ready to go. Just be sure that you have money if you are planning to use your debit card.
- Go to the online shop such as MP3MIXX, check the song you want to buy. You can search it in the searchbar if you do not want going back and forth in the site.
- Checkout and pay. You may need to signup for an account to be able to checkout. This can be done by simply connecting your Twitter to MP3MIXX.
- Then, your download will start.
See? It is as simple as that. You do not have to get out of your home to buy your favorite music. You can even do it in your free time at the office or at your vacation.

Just yesterday, I went to the city to buy some Sophie Martin lipsticks. I felt like, after all of the hard work, I needed to shop. And it was all worth it. Here’s a haul video of what I purchased:
As you can see in the video, I bought 3 Sophie Martin lipsticks. Two of them are from the Sophie Lipsticks that cost Php79 each. One is from the Sophie Kluge Lipstick that costs Php120.
Here are some photos of the colors I picked:
Sophie lipsticks are one of the cheapest lipsticks in the market. But they are one of the pigmented and most beautiful ones too. I can say this because I have been using a Sophie lipstick since last year when the lipsticks were still super expensive. I am glad that prices have gone low this year. <3

Pink and violet are just two of my favorite colors. For the tutorial I shot yesterday, these two colors served as my inspiration. You all know that I sent my other camera to Kodak for the repair of its flash system. So, for this tutorial, I had to use my good old Sony DSC W55 camera.
I tried hard to make the best quality out of a 640×480 dimension of the camera. I am sorry if I did not get a great result. It has no IS which makes the video blurry in each of my movements. Anyway, here’s a photo of the result:
