So, what are ten things about me that you do not know so far? Are there anything that I haven’t blogged about yet? Lemme see. Here goes:
- I am of Indonesian origin. I am not that knowledgeable of my origin since I am not into history much but I want to learn about it somehow. My ancestors are of mixed races: Indonesian, Malaysian, Tausug, Sama, Bruneian, Arab, etc.
- I can speak Tausug, English, Filipino, Visayan, Sinama. I understand a bit Yakan, Chavacano, and Malay. I can read Arabic too but I forget most of the words’ meaning.
- My current first name isn’t actually the first given name to me.
My real first name is Fatima Salehah. But dad revised it.
- I don’t have a genre that I like most. I love listening to every possible genre there is. I watch any movie. I adore every person for his or her beauty.
- I am a dancing person but I dance to myself only for exercising purposes. I am a shy type. Yes I am. I cannot even move a bone if someone is staring at me.
- Neon colours are my thing. I may love pink but I also like neon colours. They make me feel lively and jumpy.
- Arabic eyes makes me drool. Really. I find the Arabic eye makeup really sexy and sophisticated. When I try them on myself, it just doesn’t seem right. haha.
- I am a bit emotional and sentimental. People close to me knows my moodswings.
- I love everything about my tribe. Yes, I am a proud Tausug.
- Heights give me the fright. I don’t like it at all.

I’ve been having a blast here for the last few days I’ve been in Brunei. Cousins are bringing me anywhere to eat and see things that I haven’t seen the first time I went here back in 2008. It is such a nice thing to have foreign relatives (I meant, for real). In as much as I want to come back home, I also want to stay here and enjoy this rural kind of place. Everywhere I look, I see mosques that makes me feel secure. They are all majestic. People are so kind.
Here’s mom and me in the infamous Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque.
I really really adore this place. And oh, is it me? Or is my mom taller than me? (/laslas)
PS: My baggage was found but whoever took my bag destroyed it. gaah. I am just thankful that nothing was lost.

I have ridden on boats that make my butt hurt while jumping in the sea. Thus, being in Brunei is really a good idea. What’s great is that it brings me great memories of my beloved place. (Well, here is better since it is developed.)
This place, also renowned as the Venice of the East, is a home for almost 10% of the total population of Brunei with more than 30000 inhabitants. And it is one of the tourist spots in Brunei.
When you visit Brunei, do not forget to take a peak of this beautiful scenery from the Yayasan Complex.

The crispy fried chicken with the sambal surely are a pair. I love how the chilli makes me sweat and drink a lot of iced cold water.
After a few minutes, this is how my plate looked like:
Get a taste of this food. You’ll never regret it.

The mosque has been a tourist attraction in the country because of its beauty. Apparently, it is one of the most beautiful mosques in the Asia Pacific and the world.
The mosque’s most recognizable feature, the main dome, is covered in pure gold. The mosque stands 52 m (171 ft) high and can be seen from virtually anywhere in Bandar Seri Begawan.
